    Cork Flooring

    Nufloors|Salmon Arm

Cork flooring adds a resilient, cushioned surface that improves comfort while reducing impact noise. It works well in living areas, bedrooms and home offices where a quieter, more forgiving floor enhances everyday use. Its natural structure also helps maintain a more stable indoor environment.

At Nufloors, cork is available in floating click-lock planks, glue-down tile formats and engineered systems with protective wear layers. Finishes range from natural grain to stained variations. Some products include stabilising core layers for added durability. Proper installation keeps the surface stable and performing consistently over time.

    The Nufloors Promise

    For an eco-friendly home.

Naturally warm, naturally beautiful — and naturally renewable.

Nufloors offers two types of cork flooring — cork planks and cork tiles. Both bring natural warmth and eco-friendly attributes; not a single tree is cut down to make cork flooring.

    Ideal Rooms

Entrance ways, hallways, kitchens and family rooms.

    Benefits

    • Naturally resistantCork is naturally resistant to invasive organisms, mold and mildew. One of the most hypoallergenic flooring options available.
    • It's softA springy surface that's very comfortable for walking or standing for long periods — great for homes with small children or older family members.
    • Easy to cleanWeekly sweep or vacuum (no beater bar) and a slightly damp mop every couple of weeks is really all that's needed.

    Considerations

    • Ages over timeCork has distinctive natural colouring that ages and fades in direct sunlight or UV light. Use drapes or UV-protective windows.
    • Use furniture padsA cork floor may become permanently indented if furniture pads aren't used to disperse weight.
    • Pet nailsDog nails can scratch the surface if not regularly groomed.
    • Shade variationCork is a natural material — no two planks are alike, which adds to its beauty.

    Tips to think about.

    Pre-work.

Depending on the existing floor, removal could be an additional expense. Depending on the condition of your sub-floor, additional prep may also be needed before your cork floor goes down.

    Maintain humidity in your home

Cork floors are natural products. Use a humidifier or dehumidifier to regulate humidity and minimize expansion and contraction in regions affected by humidity. This will preserve your floor.

    Plank and tile sizing

    Cork planks come in 7" x 36", 7½" x 46", 7½" x 69" and 12" x 36". Cork tiles come in 12" x 12", 15" x 15" and 12" x 24".

    Installed By Us.

You'll receive your Nufloors pre-installation guide which outlines everything you need to know about installation.

    Paint

Plan paint, wallpaper or other remodeling before flooring is installed. Keep extra paint for post-installation touch-ups.

    Move Furniture

Plan furniture moves in advance. Remove all fragile items from the room.

    Remove Your Existing Floor

Confirm who is removing the existing flooring before installation day.

    Check Door Clearances

Measure door clearances. If new flooring is thicker, doors may need to be trimmed.
